Commuter train, freight train collide in LA; 4 die

LOS ANGELES -
"A sheriff's office spokesman says four people have been confirmed dead in the collision of a Metrolink commuter train and a freight train in Los Angeles. Spokesman Steve Whitmore also says 30 to 40 people were injured in the Friday afternoon disaster."
"The trains collided about 4:30 p.m. in the San Fernando Valley. Firefighters have been working to free victims for nearly two hours."
