Where do I find what each color means for reputations. I see I have red, blue and green. And what does the score or total mean?

Now that I am getting used to the format I like it, but, the big but word, I liked it when at the bottom of the page listed everyone that was signed on or how many users and lurker were on.

I also liked when the front page had rotating pictures. I didn't like all the picture you had, just the idea. Maybe approved pictures submitted by members?

Also, Good job. I like what you are doing. Keep up the good work with this web forum.

I screwed that up. I looked at the bottom of the page and it shows everyone logged in. scratch that question.

Thanks, We can see about rotating pics somewhere _ there may be an option to show a random sampling of pics in our library..

Phantom,
I have several accounts that I have not used in several years. I was simply wondering if you or I could delete them for the purpose of house keeping. Thank you sir.

Is there an option to block the "Similar Threads" displayed at the bottom of each thread. I list posts with newest on top, therefore when I bounce to the bottom of the page to hit "next thread" I almost always have to scroll back up through the "similar threads".

Alternatively, could a "next thread" link be added at the top of each page?

Thank you for providing this great venue!

Seconded here.

If i can find the right code, I'll do that - you want it up top above the first post, or above the similar threads box. It may actually be easier to do away with the similar threads, does anyone like that feature.

Another forum's code that seems similar to WD used to do something similar but not quite, once they updated awhile back it now responds to a Mark As Read just like WD. It may be just a deeply hidden option/setting. Thanx for looking.

I would prefer the "Previous Thread/Next Thread" link at the top for those that list latest post at the top. Removing the similar threads is a good idea too. It is rare that a "similar thread" listed is related to the current thread anyway(except when the spammers put the same post all over the place).

So, no Similar Threads anymore and Previous Thread/Next Thread links at the top and bottom!

Thanks for the efforts!

Where are the DC threads?

OK, so what happened to the District of Columbia local forum??? not that I can blame you for taking it down....it was getting stupid. I guess it would be easier to end the whole thing as opposed to censoring the idiots who hide behind screen names and sling mud, though it is rather unfair. The rule should be everyone wishing to post has to make clear their identity.

Rich - it'll be back one way or another _ I just need some time to decide if I want to censor threads against silliness (which is sort of against the premise of the site) or let it run its course.

Or have the uppers told you to do away with the threads because they don't like what certain people are posting?

How come you just censor the DC threads and not the others. Most certainly there are other threads in MD that you dont censor....Whether you post about serious discussion or as u say silliness, then why dont you lead the way Phantom....You post your name and where you work ( even though most everyone knows ) and ill be right behind you. Most everyone who doesnt know me eventually will find out....As ive said before, nothing i say or do is any different then what i do or say in the firehouse. Whats stupid to me is people who are offended by silliness or by my silliness go out of there way to find out who a person is. Even though what i or someone else say gets under there skin, its not illegal, its not threatening. Its how its percieved. If the psychos on here get there feelings hurt, maybe they should be the ones to be told to take it easy. I choose to keep my identity to myself and those that know me so that these whack jobs dont show up at my house.
When i first got on here your identity was kept anonymous for a reason i suppose.
Remember Phantom........The top 10 watchdesk list...Its amazing how everyone knew who we were...I wonder how they found out. Lets see Larry when he was in special ops.....Nahhhhhhh....We were the talk of some meetings as i was told by a high ranking official. Are identity is already been exposed, so dont give us this BS about your censorship....Im smart enough to know what to post and what not too.....Ive researched enough as well as being informed by some attorneys that what i post isnt illegal. If i was a bit concerned i would have stopped along time ago.
My take is if your scared....Be scaird...Run the site scaird....If not then censor every thread in every state and dont pick and choose. Where's the moderators for the District of Columbia....Why not set it up where a post has to be approved before its posted so we dont offend some of the sensitive fireman like Rich Schaffer.....And Rich, I could give 3 craps if you like what i post...Just because its not a picture of a antique piece of apparatus its offending to you...Who cares...:)
You might think what i post is childish, as i know it is to others, but most know im not serious and take me for what its worth....If your concern is that this or that person might see a certain thread, then your running scaird....
This whole site is almost getting as pathetic as the department itself. Sad sad sad.

I am tied up in alot of things right now, so this will be brief. I was contacted today by a higher up that was almost extatic about the watchdesk, and how I needed to keep up with hookman, and was encouraging me to post. This was a tad fishy so I found a way to log on and check things out. I have been away for a few days and was stunned to see the DC thread taken down. I know now why the forum was hidden and am very surprised that TWD would give in to pressure from "higher ups" and that you are afraid to even admit that is why you did it. If your intent was to get rid of members like myself, then you have been successful. It is unbelievable to me that A, the "higher ups" would pressure you to stop this; and B, that you would actually comply. Had I not been contacted and provoked/jeered at by a certain DFC then I would not think this whole mess was from pressure from the top. It should scare you that they have this much power over you and the department that they could scare you enough to stop this thread dead in it's tracks. As I stated before, you have been successful at getting rid of me. This is a sham now and I ask that you please erase my account. You have lost your nuts working your way up in our department. It has been said by a very high ranking chief in the past that "you sell your soul a little more each step on the way up in our department." I say that in this case the Department got ripped off in the deal.

P.S. without hook and me there really is no reason for many to check your site out. This is a quote and not a self made statement.

So maybe you don't mind my postings like the incident command comfort stations and some of the others. I am trying to stay away from bashing individuals. It kinda backfired on me so I deleted a thread a while back.
But for some reason even my humor pisses off people. Go figure?

By any chance will the calendar be updated to reflect the correct year anytime soon? Currently starts @ 2001 & now ends for 2006.
