In the Fire Apparatus Journal Vol 25 #6. There is under Apparatus News Briefs.
Greenwood Emergency Vehicles has unveiled a new pumper under the Maxim name.
Using a Spartan Chassis with a stainless steel body.
The same company has been building brush units under the Maxim name.
The county I live in. many fire companies had Maxim apparatus from pumpers to ladder trucks.
Even my own company had one and I thought it was a great unit.

It may have Maxim on the ride but it isn't a true Maxim!

Well I guess when you look around and have companies using the names of apparatus companies that stop building apparatus many years ago I guess someone said lets use that name for building our apparatus.
I will say that the Spartan cabs do look like a 70s Maxim cab some what.
We have two pumpers built by Crimson before they changed their name and they look close to the Maxim we had when we bought it back in the 70s.

Hey, if this looks like a Maxim, then I am an Astronaut

I have never liked this cab and chassis. It would look better had they used someone else’s chassis!!
:rolleyes::eek:

Maybe the Metro Star or Gladiator chassis is more Maxim looking. We have two pumpers built on Gladiator chassis and I can see the look.
