Hey...
We regret to report that Brookline, Mass. Firefighter “Buzz” Gross has died following his falling from the apparatus. He was a 36-Year Veteran of the department. Boston area NewsCenter 5's reported that Irwin "Buzz" Gross, 58, died at Beth Israel Hospital Monday night. Gross was a 36-year veteran of the fire department and was well-known and well-liked. Gross was responding to a call of gas leak last Friday morning about 9 a.m. when he fell off Engine 3 while it was making a right turn near 665 Washington Street. He suffered head injuries although he was wearing a helmet when he fell. The engine was based at the Washington Square station.
