If we should see them on fire apparatus in a few years then DCFD should see them about 5 years after that, we still had rotary phones until about 1994.

Unsure of the time frame Lt Zeke follows this a little more closely than I have. He always has his finger on the pulse of the fire service... Believe the department nd union will be reviewing SCBA in the near future so we will see!!

It looks horrible, but Im wondering how it holds the same amount of air. And how easy it is to puncture. Obviously it looks lighter but Im unsure about it overall.

it's my understanding that it's 6-7 small, very high pressure bottles (3 up, 4 down?) connected by flexible connections. The "pouch" is just to protect the other bits.
