Keeping Apparatus Ventilated While In Station

Does anyone have information about the damage that can be caused by not keeping apparatus properly ventilated while it sits in station? I know that mold and mildew will start to grow eventually but what about the carcinogens? Is there a health issue?

define how long you are letting it sit for ?

It could sit for a day or 3 weeks. Not a busy station....

it will be fine we have a piece that only moves during christmas and we have no issues
