This rig did not start out as a fire truck. It is a 1944 White halftrack chassis. The body work was built by the FD shops. Rig served with the Philadelphia Fire Dept.

Ted, That top one, which I beleive is a General/Detroit, looks like one that the Naval Academy had. I wonder which base that rig served? Any idea of where that rig may be today? How long ago was the photo taken?

Mike,
I got the picture from Jack Calderone at FAJ. I think that the picture was taken a number of years ago. The Navy purchased about 30 of these Federal-General Detroit 750 pumpers during 1953-54.
