New Fire Engines For Usnafd

Today we received two new Red Fire Engines,.

nope, we are closin two station and runnin both out of #1 station LOL. war is costing to much, LOL. they come well equipped though. 2 gallon water tank, two 2' sections of 1/4" hose, 12" ladder, and a wagon pipe. run better too.

Well it has finally happened! A surprise delivery of fire apparatus has occurred. Not one but two new engines, brand spanking new and ready to respond to any emergency situation that should arise. But there is only one drawback. With the navy reorganization under the CNI program which has caused greater than expected fiscal tightening and oversight the apparatus has been a little short-funded. But there are advantages to these apparatus, and they are:

 Good turning radius (don't need a cornfield)
 Fuel efficiency is exceptional
 No Air-conditioning needed
 Painted LAFD red
 Good maneuverability around the yard and downtown
 Great for corrosion control

Well as the saying goes "you get what you pay for "but also look at it this way "at least it is new!" :p

has anyone else seen the behind the scenes reasoning behind these? only one seat, we arent losing the engine companies, just the personnel.
