I've seen on some apparatus a NY style multi-hook with a fork on the butt end (like from a Halligan tool) instead of a D-handle or a small prying edge. Wondering if anyone knows where I can pick something up for our truck company.

Hey there fellow brother. I have heard that the boys in Kentland have something like that also. I have been told that they take the NY Hook and cut the pry end off and weld the forked end on to the Hook. I think it would be a good tool. You might also want to check with Firemark tools I know they do some custom work, I have a short drywall hook and a all purpose hook on the other end. I works great. Hope that helps you out. Let me know.

go to kentland33.com and go to tools to see them. they are made by JAF(Jackass Fabrications). JAF is what they call the tools made by the members of FDNY Rescue 2. They would build tools in their spare time. Many of them were designed by Lincoln Quappe(FDNY R2), who was lost on 9/11.
