i'm not very happy that whoever went & put a red dot from the normal green lines when you post & it reads melvinr44 is useless & chases fire trucks around. who are you to change my stuff & judge me & embarrass me in front all these people on here. i'm also disappointed when i've been in various depts. & done my jobs, gone to numerous funerals. i've been a fireman since 1981 - 2006. i quit due to health reasons. sorry if it's in my blood & i listened to my scanner & see things as i'm out & i post to inform others. i read all the time dumb ass comments/posts by everyone on here. i don't judge them. whoever changed my page please change it back & get rid of the comment. be a man!! that was cruel & a stab in the back, heartless, would you like it done to you? i like reading about incidents too!! i'm human. i'll be checking back!! if it needs changed by whoever does this page let me know. i tried everything to change it. i'm well know all over this area, worked with numerous members of fire cos., & on here. i've been a member since 1 ' 08. never a problem until recently. if there is a problem send me a private message.
thanks

Melvin,
If you look in the upper right hand corner of each person's post (next to the post number), you will see a shadow of a person or shilloutte (sp?). When a person left clicks on it, a new small box opens up (it is called the Reputation box (Add to Reputation: melvinr44) there is 2 dots there 1 for the person that agrees with your post (It will give a grey or green dot to you depending on their rep status. the 2nd one is I do not agree which gives you a red dot.
It is merely a rep point system that other members can use to agree or disagree with your post(s) at that time. There is a comment section below for the member to write a comment as to why they agree or disagree, or even sign their name (or in some cases sign another member's name, which has been done in the past & abused by some). A member does not have to put anything in the comment box if they agree with your post, but they must put something in if they do not agree. However that part they can put anything in there they so choose.
As for the comments (such as melvinr44 is useless & chases fire trucks around) that comment is a pre set comment when the boards were 1st created. There are others out there such as (Member's name) chases firetrucks, or (member's name) is Phantom's peer & so forth.
In all honesty I would not worry about the red/green dots at all, they do not affect your posts or privileges here on TWD. Hopefully this info helps you out.
Respectfully
Dave

Ok:
for those who cannot take the red box and green box comments, I reset the limits;
the comments were setup when V-bulletin was setup, they are staying, the numbers reaching those saying have changed
