Where to start?

I hope someone can give me some info as to where to start? I have lost two close relatives in the last four years in Colorado Springs. Both required FD/EMS response. I have never been to your state but I may have to travel there to wrap up unfinished business. I don't have much info to go on, but if someone is very familiar with the area, it would be greatly appreciated.
