Outlaw,

Does the Walter Reed FD plan to add more apparatus to the Annex Station other than the Engine Company? I had heard at one time that they were going to move the aerial or hazmat company out there, but I don't know if that's accurate.

The Haz-Mat unit is currently assigned to the Annex now.

In Sept of 2011 when the main hospital closes, the Tower will move to the annex and will run as Tower 754.

From what I understand a Ambulance will also be placed in service as well

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info Outlaw. Hate to see the other station close for the sake of the guys assigned there. I hope they're all able to secure positions at 54 or other local federal fire departments.

Maybe Montgomery County will move Tower 19 to 1 when Tower 754 goes in service in the next year or so. Actually I hope that Montgomery County utilizes all of the services that Walter Reed has when they're all stationed at the Annex. I know 51 had a pretty good deal with them as far as the use of their Tower and Hazmat Team.

Bet you when 54 gets a tower Montgomery County will eliminate a Tower/Truck at 19 and 1.

Then M.C should put Truck 702 & 712 when 54's goes inservice. Montgomery county is pretty good when it comes to getting the feds off the base to come play.
