When is APGFD going to hire again. I am a Federal Fire Fighter and would like to transfer to get closer to home.

I've heard somtime this fall (2004) there will be postings. Keep in touch with personnel dept on base.

No, not at all....Just ask the three guys from Ft. Meade FD that all got hired within 1 year of each other at APGFD; and then all decided to leave and go back to Ft. Meade!

I will do that know a couple of guys down there. Maybe it has to do with call volume. Ft. Meade is really busy as far as Federal Departments go and the management style there is excellent.
