Just wondering how many recruits have moved downtown for the residency requierment. Is this feesable or is there a way around it?

There are additional "preference points" for being a DC resident though, right?

I believe 5 additional points for entry level exams and awarded as a tie-breaker for all subsequent exams like technician and officer. All members hired before 1980, regardless of residence, are granted residency preference.

Promotion exam - first tie breaker - must live in district for five years after use
no points for tech exams
