I got to get this of my chest..It's been a while since I posted but I am sick of hearing these stories of you rookies that think your the shit. Hint.. nobody cares about your volly house so stop bringing up your volly company's web-site while your on duty trying to impress your co-workers about all the fire you seen (oh your only 20 years old you have seen soooo much)nobody cares, stupid. Traditional probations are over. Guys have no respect for senior members on this job.You 2/20 mothers f---ers Ain't seen shit. You mention probation dinners to these fags and I over heard one rook say "I thought ya'll gave me a dinner" KNOW YOUR PLACE! Ever heard of "THE 4 UPS" by Tim Klett of the FDNY.....in summary here they are...
1)Listen up....
2)Clean up..
3)Step up..
4)SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!
Some of you, no ,all of you rook's should research and read that article.
Remeber you don't have a "name" for your-self until you make one on the DC side,ok...What happened to the old school probations?Over heard rook's also saying "I know people on the job ,I won't have to sit at the watch desk all day. What the........?Hope this sinks in..

Tell them they can take their uniforms off when they are off duty too. Nobody gives a fuck where you work. You showing up with your Trinidad shirts when you are at the Tick house doesn't impress me. Some of them remind me of the Maintenance guy who always has his "Big Al's Trash Service" uniform on 24/7. I understand you want all the ladies to see your DCFD shirts in your hometown, but show some fuckin pride for your Volly house. Point Two: Don't come to me with your bad ass attitude because I got a DCFD shirt on and I don't work there. I like collecting shirts, I like firematic items and you haven't earned the right to chide me for it. Most of you couldn't get on the fucking job 20 years ago because you are soft. You better get on your knees and thank God for Political Correctness and Sensitivity, becuase without it, some of you would be working at 7-11.
buckin'dasystem...excellent post. Keep up the good work!
You folks still hung up on rookies being rookies. That went out the window a few years back. How is a rookie going to be a rookie when he and his officer volunteer at the same station. You really think his officer is going to come to work and get in his azz. Yea right!
And it's not just the rookies. This job has become a day care nusery. I haven't seen so many f**king cry babies in one place in my life. I sometimes think I should come to work with bottles and pacifiers.
And please don't get me started on the wonder boys on the squads now who have 2 and 3 years on the job. It's a wonder you have enough space to be in the room with them for all the ego going on. :D

Sorry for the lack of space  ; I don't think it's ego, just a motivated attitude.

I Think I Heard The Same Thing From The So Called Veterans Of The Department About The People Who Took The Entrance Exam In 1989. I Guess Those Rookies Grew Up To Be Complaining *** Veterans. Let's Just Get Along And Not Worry About Trivial Things In This Time Of Terrorism.

Having a motivated attitude, and a INFLATED ego are two totally different things. Because if you are on your game, you don't have to go around sticking your chest out. People will notice without all your braggodaccio.
