Fund Raiser Ideas ?

I was wondering what your dept does for fund raising. Or does anyone have a good idea for fund raising?

We've done spaghetti dinners. Mothers Day, Easter, we sell flowers and hanging plants. September is our annual Mum sale. Our Vol. Ambulance does a basketball game every year. There is a company that does all the leg work for it, you just have to collect tickets the night of the game, and sell refreshments if you want. The game this year is the middle of Sept., and they already made 10,000.00. You can PM me and I will get you the info for that if you want it.

Another idea might be a car show. Set a date, get someone to donate the use of a lot / field, charge an enter fee to car owners, and sell tickets. You could also have trophies (sp?); we did that for county parades and had local business sponsor the trophy with a donation. All you would have to do is set up car categories, have a handful of your dept work that booths, and find some outside people to work as judges. 100% profit. PM me if you want help/info.
