Well the Washington Post liked it, Arch Cambell of Channel 4 news in Wash. DC Gave it 3 1/2 stars. I heard it got 2 thumbs up on At The Movies and a few others like it.

Went to see it yesterday. Was the most amazing and accurate firefighter related movie I have ever seen. The critics can give it a poor review, however the movie was not produced for the common person or movie critic. If you read most any article referring to Ladder 49 you will see that it was designed with firefighters as its intended demographic. Deffinitely recommend it for any brother or sister.

You aren't the only one, there are a few other people who do it and I always stop reading the post when I see those big letters....

This Movie Was Definately Not Made For The General Public. This Movie Was Made In Honor Of All Our Brother And Sister Firefighters Who Risk Their Lives Every Day. Whether You Are Paid Or Volunteer, It Dosen't Matter. Those Who Gave The Movie A Poor Rating Should Try To Go Into A 1300 Degree Fire When It It 95 Degrees Outside And Pull Out Victims And Try To Save Someone's House Or Business That They Work So Hard To Buy. Some People Just Don't Understand. Until They Walked A Mile In Our Shoes.

My take on critics and what they think is this.......most of the time they hate the movie that the general public loves! To heck with them all!

LOVED Ladder 49, didn't see it till it came out on DVD, asked for it for my b-day. Have watched in 3 times already!

By far the best movie about fire fighting ever. Def. gives a great insight to our way of life.
