Well Sparky I have noticed on quite a few sites for Federal Fire Departments. The info you are requesting since 9-11. You should know that no body is going to explain there department and what it dose. If someone has shame on them.

I am retired now and can say that where I worked we did get several creditable threats that department apparatus was in harms way.

the reason I ask is because i'm thinking about putting in for the openings they have. i understand the whole terrorist thing, but i don't think the watchdesk is the prime location to get reliable information. i just wanted to know the types of calls they run on to see if it's a department that is worth trying to get on with.

Under stand where you are comming from. I would just say most of the Maryland Military FD's are quite busy with responses. Especially FT Meade, Naval Acad. Aberdeen. Naval District of Wash. Take your pic. There is a few more but not as busy.
