Noticed there is a job opening there. Do you plan on hiring from within and will that open up another position at the lower ranks. Looking into future prospects.

At present the 6/7 is entry level. All our firefighters are GS-7's. Where we used to go 5/6 we now go 6/7. The grade structures go up from there. It will remain a requirement for Firefighter I and II, HazMat Awareness and Operations and National Registry or Kentucky EMT to "land" a position.

Just to make sure the announcement is right, it states it is only open to current Army employees only.
