Considering the last test went from 1998 to 2003, try back in 2008 and hopefully you will not be over 30 by then :D :D

Is that true or is that what you think. I know it is like every 5yrs. I was told by a ff at 9 Egine that it might be sooner due to abunch of older guys leaving. Just wanted to know if you heard that. Keep me posted, I would like to test myself. Thanks brother and be safe.

canman3879,
I do not proclaim to know what the DCOP (DC office of personal) has up their sleeves, but if they follow tradition, get ready to wait. 2000 plus people took the last test and they are only around #400 in hiring in 1 plus years. 400 people per year times 5 years equals 2000 people. They COULD do a new test, but I would not be surprised if they wait till the list is exhausted.

Timmy:

I hear the 50 year pin is purple, which is appropriate, since that will be the color of your head in 2028.

Thanks for the info. I will wait. In another 4 yrs i will only be 26, so I will still be young enough. To all the ole timers, good job and keep up the good work. It is hard to find some ole guys around the station to help the younger boys out. Be safe DCFD
