I have been interested in Monolithic Dome buildings since I seen their add in magazines. Their website www.monolithic.com will provide info on the company that teaches people how they are built and how to build them.
Many homes from 20ft to 68 foot have been built around the world.
Churches, schools, commercial buildings of different styles have built using the company's ideas.
A home built in Pensacola Beach, Florida has been on TV lately after all the hurricans that have hit state and the stories on how a news crew rode out the storm in the home with minor damage done to it.
The company says these buildings can with stand tornados and anything that one can pickup and throw against them.
I have emailed the company's president asking if any fire departments have ever checked out building a station base on their designs and he advised he has not had any request for any.
Maybe its time for other people to check them out.
