So that's why he resigned! I wondered about that.

This is just one of many lawsuits that have been filed. Perhaps they should look at the DCFD administration. This type of actions goes beyond one AFC, one medic, and one ems supervisor.

Many good people have left for bigger and better things, due to similar or other forms of harassment. Their loss....

The people that stay seem to be stuck there for whatever reason...

The grass is greener on the other side.

It's such a shame....but true. With just a little bit of leadership, direction, and accountability, it could be the greatest system. Perhaps with the current void in upper management on the EMS side, a true leader can emerge and make something positive happen. The candidates waiting in line for those positions don't leave you with much hope for the immediate future though. :(

Yet another shining example of FEMS managers making critical business decisions based on factors other than merit....apparently Dr. Daniels' personnel decisions weren't the only decisions he made that were motivated by race......

........Several sources who took part in the decision-making process that selected Optimus Corp. said yesterday they were not impressed with the software package the company presented to the department in 2002. They said Dr. Fernando Daniels III, the department's former medical director, favored Optimus Corp. over the objections of staffers assigned to research the project.
Optimus Corp., a minority-owned firm, had not implemented this particular software package in any other jurisdiction.
Dr. Daniels could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Rumor has it that two EMS supervisors were fired recently due to the issues that Brandon brought forward....anyone know anything? Several others are looking for employment elsewhere fast...
