New Gear for NDWFD

We just recieved one of the new running coats for the region. Its very nice gear. Chief Stillwell was also talking about changing helmet colors (black for firefighters, white for officers). Why cant we wear leathers? Ive heard that some of our "regionalized" departments allready do. Has anyone heard if the leathers are going to be allowed as well? Even if they are personal helmets? Im tired of this damn punchbowl on top of my head

Mechanicsburg PA is wearing leathers. Us at DLA are tring to get the chief to approve Leathers.

Will the chief allow personal helmets? Our chief will allow any helmet as long as it meets the nfpa requirments.

If you are using a personal helmet and something happens to your ass you are not covered. The system has a responsibility to provide you with proper equipment and not from your personal collection.
