This wiki is a natural extension of thewatchdesk.com forum [1] and blog [2] The strength of TheWatchDesk.Com is the same as that of the Fire Service, the community of brothers and sisters dedicated to helping others. With the establishment of this wiki, TheWatchDesk.Com will venture into new territory, legitimate information.
The FireWiki will have the character of TheWatchDesk Forums. Members will decide where the subject matter goes, and what facts get posted; but in the wiki bashing, flame wars and such will not be permitted. With the wiki we seek to develop a history of the fire service as you know it, of firefighting lore and traditions, of firehouse characters and mascots, equipment and finally of our apparatus.
